Janakpur Dham is a Hindu pilgrimage site that is located in the eastern part of Nepal and is considered the birthplace of Goddess Sita.

Located 18 km northeast of Janakpurdham, Dhanushadham is known for being  the site where the remains of the divine bowl of Lord Shiva fell after  it was broken by Lord Ram. The temple is also known as Janaki Mandir. Its impressive architecture and intricate carvings attract people to visit the temple again and again.

Ram Sita Vivaha Mandir, where Lord Ram and Sita were wed, is a significant tourist attraction in Janakpur.  This town used to be the land of gods where Shri Ram and Mata Sita gets married and today, everything is viewed as a living museum.
